Spread some buttercream frosting on one half of the cake then place the other half on top – this will act as ‘glue’ between the two pieces of cake and help hold everything together once we start shaping the tyre later on.Next up, take your prepared fondant and begin rolling it out onto a clean surface dusted with icing sugar or cornflour (this will prevent sticking).
